Our work
02-1FC REALE JAPAN
Overview
FC REALE JAPAN was founded in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, in 2009 with the aim of creating a place where children can grow as individuals through seriously pursuing their dreams in football. To ensure that children from all family backgrounds can participate, monthly fees are kept to a minimum. Our goal is not only to help players improve at football, but also to create a team where both children and the adults involved can grow together as people.

Football: A Global Sport That Builds the Skills Needed to Thrive in Society
Sport reflects life itself. Football in particular requires players to express their individuality while also working in harmony as a team. It involves both winning and losing and can be seen as a reflection of how we live in society. Football provides opportunities to develop strength, flexibility, broad perspectives, compassion, perseverance, self-confidence, respect for others, and communication skills.
2009: Establishing a Junior Team as a Place for Personal Growth
In 2009, we established a junior team with the goal of encouraging personal growth through serious commitment to football. Alongside technical development, we provide opportunities such as English communication classes, where football becomes a gateway to learning about the wider world and improving English skills. We also support children with homework and mental coaching, always placing their growth as people at the heart of our activities.
Inviting Coaches from National and Professional Teams Overseas
To inspire children who want to improve and compete on the world stage, we invite coaches who have worked with national teams and professional clubs across Europe, the Americas, and other regions. Through direct coaching, players not only learn football techniques but also experience authentic English, different values, and cultures from around the world. These encounters naturally broaden their perspectives and encourage flexible thinking. Our own coaches also benefit by learning advanced coaching methods firsthand from leading football nations.
Past Achievements
2013
Volunteer coaches from Croatia, Scotland, and England were invited to provide football training incorporating English.
June 2017
The head coach of Hajduk Split U15 from Croatia visited Japan and held a special training session.
April–June 2018
George Kuriyama, a former coach of the Mexico U-18 national team and the Philippines national team, was invited to coach the players.

2023: Launch of the Top Team to Create Global Impact Through Football and Social Contribution
In 2023, we launched our top team. While striving to become stronger as a football team, we also actively engage in social contribution activities. These include local clean-up projects, training camps that incorporate agricultural work in depopulated areas, and football-based support activities in developing countries. Through these initiatives, we aim to nurture people who can make a positive contribution both through sport and through society.

Focusing on Running to Improve Performance: Hato-Juku Running Class
Running ability is the foundation of every athlete. The Hato-Juku Running Class focuses on this essential skill and provides careful, individualised coaching. Instructor Hayato Kizaki, a former member of the Nippon Sport Science University athletics team and a player for the FC REALE top team, teaches once a week to participants ranging from elementary and junior high school students to active athletes. When running technique changes, performance changes. Participants have reported not only becoming faster runners but also improving their overall performance during matches. In 2025, the programme was held overseas for the first time, with separate classes for children and professional footballers. Both sessions were highly successful, with participants experiencing significant improvements.

Exercise Class for Preschool Children: Shin-chan Sensei’s ENJOY CLASS
Held every Saturday afternoon at the REALE Ground, Shin-chan Sensei’s ENJOY CLASS is led by instructor Shintaro Miyazawa, who has many years of experience working with children as a teacher. Through play, children experience a wide variety of movements such as running, jumping, turning, visually tracking objects, and balancing, helping them develop their physical coordination and movement skills.
Movement awareness is closely connected to physical balance, emotional balance, and our sense of distance from other people. These are all important abilities that can have a significant influence throughout life. Through experiences that can only be gained through movement, the programme helps children naturally develop these essential senses.

REALE ACADEMY Launched in Spring 2026
REALE ACADEMY was launched for players who are committed to improving their football skills even further. Coach Santos Shafkara provides training opportunities designed to help each individual player develop their abilities. The academy creates opportunities for players who are willing to work hard and continually improve. Participation is free for FC REALE players, while players from other teams are also welcome to join.

Creating Opportunities to Step onto the World Stage Through Football
On February 16, 2025, BORUSSIA, one of the renowned clubs in Germany’s Bundesliga, held the “BORUSSIA CAMP with REALE” in Ito City. During outstanding sessions led by coaches from Borussia Mönchengladbach, players experienced firsthand the importance of enjoying the game and expressing their emotions. Yuki Kizaki, whose performance stood out during the camp, was selected and invited to participate in training in Germany. In November, she travelled to Germany and joined the training programme. Football is a truly global sport. FC REALE will continue creating an environment where players can challenge themselves, continually improve, and seize opportunities to step onto the world stage.
