ネパールサッカー界のヒーロー、サントス選手からドナ・タパ選手へ渡されたバトン

2022年に開催されたレアーレカップのシューズたちは、今回ネパールのプロサッカー選手であるドナ選手の村の子どもたちに贈られることになりました。

サントス選手に憧れサントスの背中を追いかけ努力し続けたドナ少年は、今やネパールのトップリーグのプロ選手として子どもたちの憧れの存在です。

サントスというヒーローから、キラン選手、チリン選手、そしてドナ選手と次々とバトンを渡され、ネパールの子どもたちを育て、ネパールの社会を変えようという動きが大きくなっています。

今回、サントス理事率いるレアーレワールドの活動に賛同してくれたドナ選手が、2022年に開催されたレアーレカップのシューズや寄付品を自身の出身の村に運び、村の子どもたちに渡してくれることになりました。

ドナ選手の地元の村は、カトマンズの西、250キロ以上離れたインド国境近くにあります。バスで行けば9時間くらいかかるところです。
村の子どもたちにとってカトマンズのトップリーグでプレーするドナ選手は、ヒーローです。

村の子どもたちは、農家の家の子が多く、大きくなっても働き口を見つけるのが難しく、将来に夢が持てず、投げやりになったり、非行の道に走ったりする子どもが大勢います。
そんな状況にある子どもたちに、サッカーを通して希望を与えたいと、ドナ選手は、オフシーズンには村に帰り、無料のサッカー教室を開催しています。

サントス選手がたくさんの選手を育てたように、ドナ選手が指導した子どもたちの中からもきっと未来のヒーローやリーダーが出てくれるはずです。

ドナ選手の手から、どんな子どもたちにシューズが手渡されたのかは、改めて、しっかりとレポートさせていただきますので、楽しみにしていてください。

Baton Handed from NEPAL Football HERO Snatosh to Dona Thapa

It was decided that those soccer shoes donated at REALE CUP 2022 will be delivered to children in the Dona’s home village.
Soccer boy Dona admired Santosh, following in his footsteps, is now a Nepal Top League player, a HERO for children.

The baton was handed from HERO Santosh to Kiran, to Tshring, and to Dona.　The spirit raise Nepali kids and the movement to change the Nepali society is getting bigger.
This time, Dona agreed with the REALE WORLD’s activities led by the director, Santosh and will bring those donated shoes to deliver kids in his village. 
The Dona’s home village is located 250km away from Katmandu, close to the Indian border. It takes 9 hours by bus.

For kids in the village, Dona is definitely a HERO.
Many of them are from farms and it is difficult for them to find a job. The harsh reality, lacking a dream, drives them to negligent and juvenile delinquency.
Dona goes back to the village during off season to open a free soccer class to encourage kids under such circumstances.

Like Santosh who raised many players, some of the kids Dona guided will become future HEROs and leaders.
