「ネパールの選手にインドリーグへの道を開く」インドリーグでプレー中のキラン選手　”For a better future for Nepalese players”-Kiran

私たちレアーレワールドのヒーロープロジェクトのリーダーであるキラン選手が、1月からスタートしたインドのプレミアサッカーリーグ「Hero I リーグ」で、活躍中です。

ネパール代表キャプテンでもあるキラン選手は、外国人でありながらIリーグのRoundGlass Punjab FCに所属し、キャプテンを務めています。
初戦は１－０と勝利、第２戦は３－4で敗れはしましたが、ペナルティキックをセーブするという活躍を見せてくれました。
先日行われた第3戦では、素晴らしいプレーが何度も見られ、勝利かと思われたのですが、最後まで何が起こるか分からないのがサッカーです。結果は０－１で敗れました。

しかし、まだリーグは始まったばかり。キャプテンとして、チームメイトを鼓舞し、次の試合に挑みます。
そんなKiran選手が、試合後のインタビューに、ネパールの若手選手たちに向けてこんなメッセージを送っています。

「どの試合も厳しい戦いになりますが、僕がいいプレーをして、チームに貢献し、トロフィーを獲得できたとしたら、間違いなく、インドのリーグにおいて、ネパールの選手の道が開けるでしょう。僕は、自分のために、チームのために、そしてネパールの選手のために、諦めるわけにはいかないんです！」

インドリーグでプレーできれば、ネパールリーグよりも、より良い環境で、より良い報酬を得ることができます。まだまだプロ選手がその収入で生計を立てるのが難しいのがネパールの現状です。
そんな現状を変えるため、次世代の選手の選択肢を広げるのが、ネパールサッカー界のトップにいる自分の役目であるというキラン選手。
彼の姿は、多くの人を勇気づけています。

Kiran says that raising the social status of Nepalese professional soccer players is his role as a top Nepalese player.
