「フェアトレードとサッカー」レアーレワールドが大学での講義スタート！Started University Lecture! ~Fairtrade & Soccer~

12月4日、大東文化大学の「国際協力・多文化共生(NGO活動論)」授業内にて、レアーレワールドのコーヒープロジェクト担当者と事務局長が、レアーレワールドの活動についてのお話をさせていただきました。

同大学の国際関係学部地域研究学会NGO研究班『学生団体Plus+』の皆さんが、コーヒープロジェクトに興味を持ってくださり、ボランティアとしてマルシェでお手伝いしてくださるようになり、そのご縁から今回の登壇となりました。

On December 4th, 2 of our Reale members went to Daito Bunka University to talk about our activities. The student group called “Plus +” is interested in our coffee project and they decided to help sell Himcafe.

まずは学生さんより『学生団体Plus+』の活動について説明があり、その後、レアーレワールドからお話しさせていただきました。
私たちのコーヒープロジェクトでは、コーヒーを販売した利益で、途上国の子どもたちにサッカーグッズを届けていますが、誰かれ構わず配るのではなく、本当に頑張っている子、努力している子どもたちに届けることで、子どもたちのモティベーションを高め、みんなが努力する環境を作り出すように心がけているということを、最初にお話しさせていただき、コーヒープロジェクトが巣始まったきっかけや、ネパールでの活動における課題や活動を通して伝えたいことなどをお伝えしました。

お話の最後には、学生の皆さまから、ネパールの社会課題や生活風習などについて積極的に質問をいただきました。

At first, the students introduced their activities, then, we talked about ours.

In our Coffee Project, we deliver soccer shoes to children in developing countries by using the benefit from selling coffee. We choose the kids truly making an effort to be better and give them soccer shoes. It’s because we want to create an environment where children can put forth effort. Also, it keeps their motivation high. We told the students about this first. After that, we talked about how the Coffee Project started and our other activities.

At the end, the students asked us some questions about Nepal and they gave us feedback too. We will share some below.

「実際に現地で活動を行っている方の話も聞くことができて、分かりやすく、自分にとっても身近に感じた。ボランティア活動を通じて世界中の人と仲良くなれるところも魅力の一つだと思った」

「最近、私もフェアトレードに関心があったため、子供とのフェアトレード（サッカーシューズを渡す過程）を知れたことがよかった」

「靴をおくるための送料がかかるということに『ハッ』とさせられました。そこでコーヒープロジェクトに繋がるのだとしり、ネパールの人たちの産業も後押ししているというサイクルがすごいと思いました」

「ボランティア活動に興味が湧いたので自分なりに調べてみて、参加できたらいいなと思います」

このようなたくさんの感想をお寄せいただき、とても嬉しく思います。
私たちも学生さんの前でお話しさせていただく貴重な経験をさせていただきました。
