【 School sports class program 】NPO REALE WORLD × Shankhadhar Memorial School

In Nepal, where many schools do not have PE practical classes, the decline in physical strength of children in urban areas has become a problem in recent years.

Not only as a place to acquire academic ability, but also an approach to the well-balanced growth of children’s mind and body has begun to be emphasized in the field of education.

REALE WORLD has long emphasized the importance of exercise for growing children. Physical movement improves flexibility, agility, balance and endurance. It works just as well on the brain as it does on the body.

Recently, schools have begun to support our appeal, sending the coaches of FC REALE as sports instructors and conducting sports classes.

One of them is Shankhadhar Memorial School in Madhyapur Thimi.

The school’s sports classes focus on soccer, basketball, and volleyball, but also include badminton, table tennis, gymnastics, and local Nepalese sports.

REALE WORLD creates a curriculum and dispatches instructors. Held three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

In Nepalese schools, where there is only classroom learning, the children look forward to the sports classes and are able to move their bodies freely.

It not only activates physical functions, but also activates the brain, which greatly contributes to improving concentration and releasing stress.

Physical activity is very important for the healthy development of growing children.

The sports class the other day was more lively than usual with the visit of Aya Miyoshi, the Chairman of the board of REALE WORLD Japan, and Santosh Shahukhala, the board member and a legend in the Nepalese football.

In addition to sports activities, we also lead cleaning activities for the grounds used in sports classes.

At the end of the class, the students picked up trash from the grounds as instructed by the instructor.

We thoroughly teach the children of FC REALE to “clean up the places they use themselves.” We would like students to understand the importance of using the space cleanly and taking care so that everyone can use it comfortably.

At REALE WORLD, we believe that incorporating exercise and physical activity into the field of education is very important for the healthy development of children, and we would like to offer sports classes to many schools.

“When you move your body, your brain starts to spin,”
Takeshi Yoro, a doctor of medicine and professor emeritus at the University of Tokyo, said in a lecture.

That is exactly what Reale World is working on with its sports class program in Nepal.

Exercise is not just for physical training, it is also essential for the well-balanced and healthy upbringing of children. This year, we would like to spread this initiative further in Nepal, so we ask for your continued support.
