〜 子どもたちの挑戦 〜 自分たちの手でレアーレカップを開く！Will Open The REALE CUP By Ourselves～ Children’s Challenge ～

4/10に開かれたフリーマーケット。その会場に、FCレアーレの子どもたちの姿がありました。
先日開催したレアーレカップで、多田理事が提供してくださった落花生。たくさんいただいたこの落花生を、多田理事の許可を得て、フリーマーケットで販売することにしたのです。自分たちの手で次のレアーレカップを開き、ネパールやケニアに靴を届けたい、その思いを叶えるための第一歩として。

３月に代表理事の三好から、子どもたちにレアーレカップについて話をしました。

「レアーレカップを開催するには、たくさんのお金が必要です。みんなが自分たちの年代で開催したいと思っていることは、知っています。もし開催したいならば、スポンサーを見つけてきてください。そうしたら、いつでも開催します！」と。

オニコーチに早速言ってきたのは、U12、６年生の子どもたちでした

「どうしてもやりたい！」

気持ちはいっぱいある。でもお金のこととなると、途端に難しくなる子どもたち。
出来る・出来ない、はわからない。けれど、出来るようにチャレンジすることは「出来る」。ということで、フリーマーケットで落花生を販売することになったのです。

当日の朝は、ロログラウンドのあたりは雪。会場周辺も、朝は雨がぱらつくあいにくの天気で、客足も鈍く、子どもたちが声を掛けても「いらない」と言って通り過ぎていってしまいます。

張り切って始めたものの、自信を無くしていく子どもたち。

「売れるためには美味しそうに見なくちゃね！」

女子のひとりがディスプレーを変えました。見てわかるようにポップも書きました。
声掛けも「買ってください」ではなくて「こんにちは！」と、元気に声をかけたら、通りすがりの人たちが、足を止めて話を聞いてくれるようになりました。

その後も、工夫を重ね、説明にもだんだん思いがこもるようになって、気づくと、レアーレのブースのまわりに、人が集まるようになってきました。
近くのブースの人たちも買いに来てくれたり、お客様に紹介してくださったり、レアーレの保護者の皆さんも、学年問わず買いに来てくださいました。

差し入れをくださったり、手作りの苺大福とおはぎを「商品にして」と持参してくださった方もいて、子どもたちの思いと行動に、たくさんの人が協力してくださいました。
その結果、なんと、落花生を147袋を販売！
総額78,300円を生み出すことができました。

大人が介入していたら、もっとスマートに販売することができたでしょう。
でも今回は、大人は介入せず、子どもたちが「自分たちの手でレアーレカップを！」その思いで、チャレンジをしました。
彼らにとってとても大きな経験になったと感じています。

貴重な経験という意味では、こんな出来事もありました。

ひとりのおばあちゃんが落花生を買いに来てくださいました。
買いに来てくれたことが嬉しくて、子どもたち３人が説明をしたり、商品をお渡ししたりしていました。
おばあちゃんが代金をお財布から出した時、仕事をしたいばっかりの子どもらは、おばあちゃんの手からサッとお金をとってしまいました。

「そんなことをしてはだめ！」
「お金は、とっても大切なものなんだから大切に扱わないとダメ。ましてや、お客様相手にそんなふうに奪うようにとっては、絶対にダメ！そこも勉強しなさい！」

そう言って、おばあちゃんが子どもを叱ってくださったんです。
本当に有り難い言葉でした。
お金の大切さ、物の大切さ。
人に対する会話や態度がどれほど大切なのかを、しっかりと教えてくださって、本当に有り難いと思いました。

大人の介入なしに、子どもたちが自ら考えて工夫しながら、チャレンジしたフリーマーケットへの出店。

大人がやってくれる、ではなく、見聞きしての「学び」ではなく、自分で考え、自ら実践して、時に失敗して、お叱りも受けながら、実感して学びを得て、成長の機会にする。
これこそが真の「学びの場・機会」だと思い、こうした時間を大事にしていきたい、そう心から思いました。

今回のフリーマーケットへのチャレンジは、まだまだ始まりに過ぎません。

自分たちの手でレアーレカップを開く、靴のない国に靴を届ける、これを実現するべく、もっとみんなで考え、もっと行動に繋げて時間を有意義に過ごしていきたいと思っています！

Deliver Shoes To Countries Where No Shoes
～ Children’s Challenge ～

At flea market held on 10APR　You could see FC REALE kids there.
Lots of peanuts package contributed for the REALE CUP by the Board Member Mr. Tada. They decided to sell them at flea market with his permission.

For the first step to make their wish to come true to open the REALE CUP by themselves and deliver shoes to Nepal and Kenya.

The Representative Director, Miyoshi told about the REALE CUP to children in MAR. 
“We need a lot of money to open the REALE CUP. I know all of you want to open it for your school year. If you wish so, go find sponsors and we can open it at any time!”

It was U12, 6th grade kids that came to Oni coach immediately after that.　
“We want to do it!” with full of wish

But regarding money, it seems difficult to them.They don’t know if they can or can’t. But they “can try” to make it happen.

Therefore they decided to sell peanuts at flea market. 

There was snow left around LOLO ground that morning.
It was untimely raining around the venue and there were few customers, answering “No thank you” to children’s approaching.

Although starting in high spirits, children was gradually losing encouragement.  

“To sell well, the article need to look good!” One of the girls said so, changing the display and writing a pop board to advertise. 

Also a call to customers “Please buy one” was changed to “Good afternoon!” and then people started to stopped by their booth, listening to their talks.

Children tried various measures after that, getting filled with emotion in their talks and found themselves surrounded by many customers.

Booth staff near by kindly came to buy peanuts and introduced their customers about children’s activity. The FC REALE parents brought hand-made rice cakes stuffed with strawberry for children and for sale, too.    
Many people went along with children’s wish and actions.

As a result, 147 packages of peanuts were sold! 
They made 78,399 yen.

They could have handle the sales in smarter way if adults helped them. 
But this time children ventured to do it with their wish of “Open the REALE CUP by ourselves!”
We believe it became a great experience to children.

The experience selling 147 package of peanuts and earning 78,300 yen generated great confidence.

One incident turned out to be a very valuable experience.
An old lady came to buy peanuts.
It delighted children so much and they rushed explaining and handed over the item.
When she got money from her wallet, children grabbed money out of her hand. 

“Don’t do like that! 
Money is very important thing and you have to handle with care. 
To make the matter worse, you grabbed it like stealing. Stop doing it! Learn more about it!”

She kindly scolded children.
It was really precious words. 

The importance of money. 
The importance of goods.

We very much appreciate that she taught how important the conversation and the attitude to other people are.

It was children’s challenge to open a booth at flea market, thinking out all by themselves.

With no support from adults and with not the way to follow somebody’s example, they could make it as a chance for growth by thinking, practicing, failing, being scolded, realizing and learning. 

That is the real “Learning opportunity” and we will treasure those opportunities.
This is just the beginning. 

Will open the REALE CUP by ourselves and deliver shoes where there are no shoes.
In order to make it happen we will think more to act and spend more fruitful time!
